In my time in Florida, I've had the pleasure of meeting some very talented people with passion. So without further or do, let me introduce you to one of those people. J. Walt  who was born and raised in Tampa, FL and has an array of talents from being  a vocalist, producer, rapper, and studio engineer. He is currently working on releasing his first EP "Vieux Carre", which will be on all platforms in a few weeks. (Will update post with links once released).

J. Walt was even kind enough to let me put out one of his new tracks "Go All In" on The Collective Loop Collective Series 007. His track has that soothing sound of slow R&B with a nice bass beat to keep you swaying throughout the whole track.  Don't just take my word for it. I even had the pleasure of asking J. Walt some questions for the curious mind. So continue reading and find out what this artist has to say about his musical style.

TCL: What influence your desire to make music?

J. Walt: Honestly, my time spent as an only child, I used music to entertain myself. Although I have older siblings they were all moving out by the time I came of age.

TCL: What does this EP Vieux Carre mean to you?

J. Walt: I was introduced to this drink through my bartender friends and I love this cocktail. Its usually served at a classic craft cocktail bar, and the vibe of those bars set the mood for this EP.

TCL: Who would you really like to collaborate with on a song if you could?

J. Walt: Andre 3000, heavily influenced by him.

TCL: Where do you get your inspiration for your lyrics?

J. Walt: Vibes I get from hanging out on vacations and the night life within in the up and coming Tampa party scene. 
TCL: What can we look forward to next in your desire to make music? Any new project?

J. Walt: I have A LOT of unreleased music that remains relevant to the current sounds in music. As far as new projects, there will be more after this EP.

TCL: You work at a studio. Tell me a little about the studio.

J. Walt: Glass House Studios is now a cultural stable of the Tampa Hip hop community. It's a joy. We watch artist grow into their own sounds as well as enjoy more establish artist making it a point to stop by and catch a vibe with our quality of work. It's a pleasure to work with so many different styles of artist in a short time span. It gives me a look into the music culture most don't get a chance to.

These are some ingenious notepads designs by Triad, a Japanese company that makes architectural models. The Omoshiro Block (or “fun block”) is made with laser-cutting technology and contains hidden objects and scenes that only become visible as the paper is used. The blocks are composed of over 100 sheets of paper and each sheet is different from the next in the same way that individual moments stack up together to form a memory. The emerge almost like an excavated treasure from an archaeological dig, some of the more elaborate versions feature notable Japanese architecture like Kyoto’s Kiyomizudera Temple and Tokyo Tower.

American animator Kirsten Lepore, best known for her stop motion short films like “Sweet Dreams,” “Bottle,” and “Move Mountain,” has debut a new animated project dubbed “Hi Stranger.” The nearly three-minute short stars a nude claymation man, voiced by Garrett Davis.

Tycho has just released a new track called "Division" and I couldn't be happier.  Tycho tweeted earlier this year that he would like to have a new album out by 2016 and it seems this might come true. I got the enjoyment of listening to all nine tracks and each one hit a spot. Each has a quality that takes Tycho's sound to a different level. These nine remixes take you on an incredible sound journey from start to finish. Though the tracks are familiar to those who have listened to Awake, the remixes breathe new, unfamiliar and wondrous life into each song. The ambient, down-tempo melodies are beautiful, and each track evokes an incredible amount of emotion.

Chinese artist DU Kun has long harbored a reverence for music and rockstars and he has created these amazing oil paintings.  Each oil painting depicts the face of a musician as if it were a temple built in devotion to a god and borrows elements from Buddhist and Confucian architecture. Eyes are depicted as windows, tree branches or waterfalls as flowing hair, and the surface of skin as ornate wood facades gilded with gold.

Kun is currently exhibiting the “Revels of the Rock Gods” series as part of his first solo show in Japan at Mizuma Art Gallery in Tokyo through February 13, 2016. You can explore close-up details plus an archive of Kun’s work on his website.

Stumbled upon Kevin Dart's Science and Nature collection today and I'm glad that I did. His style is interesting with the fact that it's such a mixture of shapes with a little realism's, but has that futuristic look.  If that even makes sense. Well check out his work on his site and if you like any of the ones below they're for sale and he has more than just these.

Ed Fairburn an English artist use vintage maps and star charts as canvases for hand drawn portraits. Cross-hatched patterns and shaded regions inside roads, borders, and rivers assimilate into the contours of faces, as if the images had always been secretly hidden in the map’s topography.

Fairburn has a new show of works alongside artist John Wentz at Mike Wright Gallery from November 6th - December 19th in Denver, Colorado.

Mount Dreams has just debut their new album, which is self-titled.  It's an 8 tracked album that shines in brilliant ambient pop electronic soundscapes. This genre keeps on continuing to transform into beautiful shapes and sounds and just shows another great example of continuous change is the airily mind-numbing track “Home” by Mount Dreams.  Features the outstanding and reassuring vocals of Anatomy, “Home” is a song that evokes a feeling of brightness among rough waters.

Who doesn't like butterflies and insects made out of matchsticks? These creations were created by British artist Kyle Bean. It makes you wonder how long it took him on each piece and how many matchsticks were used for each one.  You can check out more of Kyle's work on his site.

I'm a sucker for double exposure art.  There is something interesting and calming about them.  So let me introduce Norweign based visual artist Andreas Lie's and his double exposures of animals and their habitats. If you are interested in any of his works then check out his shop on Society6.

Japanese design office Nendo has created 9 different types of chocolate. While each are the same size, not a single piece from the Chocolatexture collection look alike. That’s because Oki Sato, who leads the Tokyo and Milan-based firm, rethought the concept of chocolate by focusing on texture.

“There are many factors that determine a chocolate’s taste,” says Sato, referring to factors like the origin of cocoa, the percentage used, and the various different flavors. 

Each of the 9 chocolates were inspired by an onomatopoeic word from the Japanese language that describes texture. The chocolates correspond with words like “toge toge” (sharp pointy tips), “sube sube” (smooth edges and corners) and “zara zara” (granular, like a file). Chocolatexture was created for the Maison & Objet trade fair that took place last week in Paris. 400 limited edition Chocolatexture sets were created and were sold during the event in Paris at what’s being dubbed the “Chocolatexture lounge.” (syndicated from Spoon & Tamago).
