Welcome to Playlist-41 in this months installment I wanted to bring down the feeling of summer and start in the mellow and chill sounds of Fall. We all remember the cool crisp air, falling leaves and changing colors so I wanted to make a mix that had a feeling of relaxation but still have a slight upbeat.  We have some artist like The xx, Cerulean, Holy Other and more.  Happy listening.

Grain Creative Pty is the designer behind the Wildfire Restaurant Wine label design. The Wildfire Restaurant is an iconic restaurant for Sydney Australia.  The concepts was based on the tradition of Venetian Theatre Masks. As with the wines, each mask represented a character, mood and it embraces the notion of mystery, joy, fun, playfulness and theatre, fitting of the dining experience at wildfire. So what do you think of the design?

Now this is a stylish looking U-Lock Belt Holder ($45) designed by Deer Runner. This holder is hand crafted from natural leather and designed for comfort and ease of use. You attach it onto your belt and its compatible with most “D” and “U” lock types. The holders unique “easy relies” design assures the comfort in day to day use.

Matthew Olin is the creator behind this series of Superhero Typographic Posters for his MFA Thesis Exhibition back in 2011. Here is what he had to say about this series.

"The most distinguishing factor of any font is its characters. Hidden beneath these characters, each typeface also has character—its own unique characteristics. However classified this information may seem, when used correctly, typefaces often speak to us more powerfully than the words that are written with them."

What I like most about these posters is the definition of the use of the font but it also goes along with each character that is being designed. I have only added a few see the rest here on Behance.

Wouldn't it be cool if your house could just get-up and walk to its next location? A Danish art studio N55 has made this possible with the innovative designed house with six hydraulic legs.  This solar powered Walking House was constructed out of steel and plywood. It comes equipped with a small kitchen, composting toilet, integrated furniture, comfortable bed, and a system that collects rain water. The houses walking abilities are controlled by a touch panel screen that allows the home to move at a slow pace while enjoying the landscape and having minimal impact on the environment.

For those of you with kids or the person who is constantly eating at your desk. This keyboard might be for you.  The Logitech Washable Keyboard with drainage holes is easy to clean and easy to dry. It's a USB powered keyboard with laser printed keys and UV coated keys to protect from fading. The cleanable keyboard will be launch this month in the US for about $39.99.  Would you get one or does it need more bells and whistles?

YOY is a design unit by Naoki Ono, a space designer, and Yuuki Yamamoto, a product designer and they have created the Peel.  The Peel is a wall lamp that looks as though the side of wall is peeling back but instead light comes shinning through. I want one these for my place it would be a talking point in any room.

Now this is a stylish looking headphone the Denon Globe Cruiser Bluetooth Headphones ($500). They come with a lot of goodies in these active noise cancellation headphones with aptX Bluetooth wireless capabilities, along with a control wheel for music playback and phone control, comfy memory foam earpads, 40mm drivers, dual microphones for crystal clear conversations, a folding design for easy storage in the included leather travel case, 10 hours of battery life, and it includes a cable for when you inevitably forget to charge your headphones.

Here is yet another site that does some beautiful terrariums.  Chive is the company behind this terrariums that can run from $6-$120 dollars depending on which one tickles your fancy.

Here is a unique building with a cycling track on the roof, which was designed by NL Architects. It has a glass enclosed structure that will accommodate a bicycle rental shop, modern cafe, and a staircase that will provide access to the rooftop velodrome, which has a guide down the sides to bring your bike up the stairs without having to carry it. The Bicycle Club will be constructed in Hainan, China this year and was commissioned by Vanke for a big resort in southern China.

The history of the tea set goes all the way back to about 200 B.C. and over that 2200 years tea sets have had every conceivable shape. This version of the tea service set was designed by Eunjae Lee and it's a simplistic yet elegant tea set.

"A tea service set, Silent Machine, is composed by functional products reflecting aesthetic interpretations on function-focused forms. Every single object can be identified when it is utilized as a part of the whole. Mathematically formulated silhouettes and details contribute to creating an image of mechanical regularity rather than being emphasized on their ornamentation."

These vessels are so cylindrical and they look like each element is the same circle that's been extruded with varying diameters and circumferences. The dark grey color also catches my eyes with a soft and relaxing feeling. You can read more about this tea set here.
