I stumbled upon a museum of old advertising ad's going back as far as the 1900's for tape recorders.  On their site Phantom's Reel To Reel Tape Recorder Online Museum they have it split up by different years and let me tell you. It will take you a while to go through them all.  Below are some that I found interesting but I'm sure I missed some other sweet ads from the past.

Framework is a Moxy Creative presentation of poster designs of eyewear made famous by celebrities and it was brought to you by framegeek.com. In this collection they have glasses from Yves Saint Laurent who had a deeper understanding of aesthetic. He understood fashion and like he said "Fashions fade, style is eternal. I'm also glad to see that Steve Urkel's style made it in this collection, along with some others who had creative styles of glasses. You can purchase your framework prints here

In this month's Playlist I wanted to mix it but I'm still having issues with my recording software and not enough time to fix it.  So instead, I just compiled a Playlist, but who knows, I could mix it up later this month. If so I will let you guys know so you can download it.

Playlist-35 has some nice future garage tracks in it with a little flare of some chillstep in the mix. It will get the groove of lo-fi pulsing through your ears. So go ahead and press play I dare you.

Niklas Hessman a packaging designer has come up with a nice and clean design concept for Premium Pringles. He states that he and others feel that Pringles could benefit and standout if they had a premium Pringles product line.  Here is what he said about the outcome of his packaging design;

The product will stand out from the other Pringles but still having the well known tube. Simple and clean packaging design that will work on the scandinavian market for sure. Branding the product with a little poem instead of Photoshop effects.

 If I saw this packaging I would buy it just for that, even if I didn't know what Pringles were.  The minimal design of the product is clean and like Niklas stated a little poem instead of Photoshop effects could make Pringles stand out.  What do you think?

DJ TechTools have updated their original MIDI Fighter controller and added a 3D gyroscope to their arcade button Midi Fighter midi controller. This will now allow DJs to change parameters like pitch, volume and effects to be controlled by simply moving it around. To me this would only be for DJs who don't like spending most of their time dancing around their laptop screen.

The Midi Fighter 3D includes a 16-button array of arcade-like buttons, that can be used as midi triggers and can be configured to any style of color theme that you would like, just in case one color was not enough to keep you focused. The midi controller will run you about $250, shipping sometime in April. So if you don't want to stand behind your laptop screen the whole time and you want to dance with your audience then this bad boy is for you!

Sean Avery has created these mixed media sculptures of animals and insects. To create these animals he uses layered fragments of broken CDs and it's like BAM! Magic, you have an animal or an insect sculpture. See more of his work over at DeviantArt.

Lindsey Bessanson an artist from Arizona has found a way to create robo-bugs and turn them into stiff endless time pieces.  She began her adventure of making these bugs back in 2003 and has continued to master this technique. To create these bug pieces, she takes dried, dead insects and puts them in a humidifier for a couple of days. With this, the legs and wings become flexible, allowing her to fan them out and position them according to her liking. Next, she is able to take the insect apart,  and then strengthen all the joints with metal and puts everything back together again. The completed insect is pinned to a piece of Styrofoam so it can harden into the desired position. It takes her about two weeks to complete an insect. I have put only a few of her pieces on TCL so go and check out more of her work. She does have prints available as well as the SteamPunk Insects

Superfamous is the Los Angeles–based studio of Dutch interaction designer Folkert Gorter, who created this beautiful and almost mysterious collection of photo's of California. I couldn't find a lot of information on him, but if you want to check out more of his work, then check out his flickr.
