Have you ever wondered what you would do if the internet went down? I know I would probably do more than half of the suggested approaches suggested in the poster below. So if you're ever in a pickle with what to do when your internet goes down. Look no further than this poster created by
Pleated Jeans. Although, I think they could have added "surf the internet on your phone", but that would have made all the suggestions useless.

The dance crazy posters below were created by
Amy Rodchester for the Newcastle Festival of Dance. I was quite intrigued with Amy's choice of visualization with her design. She describes her ideas and elements on her site and this is what she had to say:
The design of the posters visualise any pair of feet in any pair of shoes being able to dance and aims to encourage people to step out of their comfort zone and try something new. The 3D element of the posters engages and intrigues viewers. Each poster targets a different generation, inspiring children to dance, encouraging youths to be creative, motivating adults to continue exercise and reminding the elderly of their time in the old dance halls.

I've stumbled upon
SR692 and his large collection of retro Swissair poster designs today. I'm not going to lie but their are some seriously good designs up in this collection. Most of these poster designs came from the 30's to the 80's, which are archived on the site.
What I like about this collection is the simplicity of each design. They utilize the generic airplane icon, a headline and the Swissair logo making for a minimally designed style. You can't go wrong with that. If you want to know more on the Swiss Airlines logo. I know that
Wanken did a whole post on
Swissair: Behind the Logos interesting read. You can find it on
ISO50.
The Flow looks at the supervening layers of reality that we can observe, from quarks to nucleons to atoms and beyond. The deeper we go into the foundations of reality the more it loses its form, eventually becoming a pure mathematical conception. Layer upon layer the flow builds new codes that create new codes, each version computing a new, more complex state based on the previous one. This short 20 second video by
MRK is not based on actual scientific data, but are visual representations of scientific theory. It gives you a look into a mathematical concept of what these layers may look like. If you want to read more about this project, they have a in-depth breakdown on
Behance.
If you found this video interesting, then you might be interested in these posters that were designed for this project as well. You can purchase these prints or others on

I was enjoying the color palettes and the details this morning in these poster designs by
Andy Rohr. These future retro posters were part of a fictitious airline that takes you to Mars called
MarsUnited. These posters reminds me of some old school 60's scifi take on how the future will be and where we can go. Andy did a wonderful job on taking the vintage to a retro future. The MarsUnited series posters are available to purchase on his
shop. Plus, don't forget to check out some of his other works as well.
Kristian Jones series
Lost in Youth is quiet interesting. His take on these is exploring the modern youth culture and the imagination of the youth. This series has that minimal feel to them but also has an impact of understanding the youth of having a blob friend or spilling your ice cream.

Digging these poster designs this morning.
Pop Chart Lab is behind these awesome poster. I mean the Visual Compendium of Notable Haircuts in Popular Music is just hilarious but at the same time informative and well designed. If you get a chance check out more of there work or follow them on twitter
@popchartlab.
Stéphane Massa-Bidal (AKA Rétrofuturs (Hulk4598)) has created a set of posters depicting various popular web services as though they were vintage paperback covers. These are beautiful and they have a look like they had been sitting in someone's attic for like 40 years. Although 40 years ago none of these services actually existed. I'm just glad I got my web therapy today.
Also a couple months ago I did a post about
Rétrofuturs and his
"Life is Circle" series as well. If you want to check out that post

Stéphane and if you want follow him on
