Craolo a.k.a Greg Simkins art style captured my attention this morning.  I mean the more that you look at his work the more hidden details start to show themselves.  These fantastical creatures are more than not in an awkward contortions, which gives the feel of a youthful imagination and wonder.  If you get a chance check out more of his work on his website. The Faraday Porteur is a electric bicycle that includes a 250 watt motor, concealed batteries that provide 10 to 15 miles of pedal assist on a single charge. A single charge lasts up to 15 miles, and the bike takes 45 minutes to fully juice up. The bike's Kickstarter page describes this as an "electric tailwind," describing it as "the feeling of riding with the best tailwind you've ever had."  It's now available in Kickstarter for $3,500; they want to reach $100,000 in funding to make the first factory run.

Montreal-based photographer Benoit Paillé has been creating this fascinating series of landscapes using a different lighting method involving a suspended glowing square. The images below are not photoshopped, the 1×1 meter light is instead hung in the center of each photograph and the resulting image shows the unique form of illumination that creeps into the surrounding area. Paillé says his goal is to redefine what a landscape photograph is by questioning its reality, creating a kind of poetic moment in space and time. Creative illustrations Ji Lee shows the meaning of different words with images. The goal was to create visual representation of a word, using only the letters that are contained within the word itself. If you want to see more, you can always purchase his book.

Came across some of Matthew DiVito a.k.a Mr. Div work on iso50 and had to share some of them.  It's like you get lost in the animated motion .gifs and it seems like I'm not the only one.  I only added some that I thought were awesome but check out his site to see more.

The Whangapoua Sled House is a beach style house on sleds and was designed by Crosson Clarke Carnachan Architects.  Closed up, this home blends right into the landscape and it makes you wonder how this is a house for five.  It was designed to be portable to shift around the beach front.  This innovation is a response to the every changing beachfront coastal erosion zones. I know what your thinking but this is not for AA meetings. The AA House is a minimalist home located in Barcelona, designed by OAB. Ceramic cladding was used on the rooftop and perimeter walls. The architects wanted as little obstruction between the interior and exterior as possible. As a result, an entire facade was made up of glasswork, trellises, and sliding panels.

I would have to say that this is a beauty right here. The home is an ideal mix of abstract, minimalist, and geometric design all in one. Oh yeah, did you see how sweet that stair case was? See more pictures after the break.

Artist Lisa Rodden cuts, slices, and folds thick layers of white paper on top of acrylic paintings that are occasionally accompanied with text. She cuts small geometric cuts to reveal a glimpse of the paint creating a interplay of color and shadows. You can see more in her paper gallery.
