Steven Briand created this fantastic stop-motion video called Protéigon, which took him two months to complete. The short involves a man, sitting in front of a desk, and he takes a piece of paper and then makes them into different shapes and patterns. I think he did a great job in working with his creativity and paper designs. Plus, it works smoothly with the music. To me it seems like they collectively are presented in a great audio-visual piece. You can check out more of his videos on Vimeo.
Fleet Foxes, The Shrine/An Argument created by Sean Pecknold and his team is met with the vocal sounds of Robert Pecknold's brother. It's a wondering and amazing journey that can only be breathtaking. It's a crazy and wild story of a wondering antelope and his journey of losing life and being part of nature and the struggle of life and death. The video pulls you in with its beautiful color treatments and visual splendor.
My only advice would be what Sean and his team advised and that is to watch it in HD with headphones or speakers and in "full screen if you really want to get crazy". Enjoy!

This is just astonishing to see such a clear and vivid view of the earth from space. This time lapse sequence of photographs were taken with a special low-light 4k camera by the crew of the expedition 28 & 29 on board the International Space Station from August to October, 2011. It's astonishing how many colors the earth puts off and it's also amazing how many lights, light up the night sky.

I'm sure we have all been stuck in a slump when it comes to creativity, unable to find a way to jump start that creative brain of ours. Well how about watching a video created by TO-FU. It's based on Paul Zii's list of 29 Ways to Stay Creative. This list is full of ways to kick start your creativity and I personally have found that many of them work. I would have to say though #5 "quit beating yourself up" is one that I need to work on. If any of my reader out there has another way to stay creative let me know. I would like to hear what you have to say.

The Carpenter is just the beginning for this series of short films regarding the art & science of professionals working with their hands. The way in which this video was shot was excellent with its use of motion tracking to point out different tools and unseen plans of the carpenter. It may be only a 1:41 but I'm impressed with his work. I took shop class and all but I couldn't do that. The most I could do was make a clock lamp.
Looking forward to seeing more video's by Deep Green Sea.
