Seung Mo Park a Koran sculptor designs and makes extremely detailed portraits out of multiple layers of stainless steel wire mesh. Seung sketches or projects images of his models on wire mesh and then cuts parts out to add depth and a three-dimensional feel to them. Check out more work by Seung Mo Park.

We have all seen the vinyl bowls, but check out these guys love of recycling vinyl. Angelo Bramanti and Giuseppe Siracusa of L017 transform recycled vinyl records into unique works of art. Sometimes artists can see an object and transform it into something that someone might want to put in their homes. Plus, who wouldn't want a vinyl record with their face coming out of it.

Miller Lagos is the creator behind the Book Igloo. This installation was created for MagnanMetz Gallery in New York City and it's entitled simply “Home”.  Each book was carefully stacked to create a compact dome that is entirely self-supporting.  I guess if you were bored, you could take a book from your house and have a nice read, although it would leave a hole in your house. I don't think I have every talked about rope sculptures on TCL before, so here it is for the first time.  The artist Mozart Guerra created these realistic three-dimensional models of animal and human heads and then wraps them with nylon rope. They are beautiful pieces of art like the Rams head and the Giraffe and the Geisha Head. Check out more of Brazilian artist Mozart Guerra here.

Sean Avery has created these mixed media sculptures of animals and insects. To create these animals he uses layered fragments of broken CDs and it's like BAM! Magic, you have an animal or an insect sculpture. See more of his work over at DeviantArt.
