It has been about 4 years since I have worked on my last
portfolio website. So I thought it was about time to redo the site on
Wix.com. This time instead of being a flash based website this site is currently constructed with HTML5, which makes it a little easier to work with.
On
Damion S. Portfolio Collection site I've added my portfolio works from photography, websites, TCL works and more, which will be continuously updated. It's also easy to get back and forth to TCL via the menu and I have also added a blog feed on the home page of the new site. I have also added an
Etsy Shop to start offering design prints. Currently, all prints are set to $10, which is not hard on the old wallet. You will also now see a shop link on TCL to quickly get to the site.
In the next two weeks, I will be doing a giveaway for
The Collective Loops #1000th post in which I will be giving away both
TCL Playlist Collection Posters. So keep an eye out for that! In the mean time be sure to check out the new site and let me know what you think?

I stumbled across this artist recently and thought his work was not only inspiring, but a great example on how beautiful upcycled art can be.
Haroshi, a Japanese skateboarder turned artist makes these masterpieces out of old skateboard decks, and even uses broken hardware for the interior of his three dimensional pieces. If you have ever skateboarded, you know how quickly you can accumulate a stack of broken decks. Nothing goes to waste, I like
Haroshi's style. Check out more of his work

Well it's November and it's time again for Movember! Not sure what Movember is?
Movember is a successful men's health charities that started back in 2004. The premise is simple: just grow any style mustache that your heart desires in the month of November to raise awareness and money for men's health causes, particularly prostate and testicular cancer.
Not sure what kind of mustache to grow this November? No problem, check out the infographic style guide below, which came from
hairlossgeeks.com. It serves as a nice guide to decide what type of face goes with what kind of mustache.
Check out the inforgraphic below for more tips, then let me know what type of stache you will be sporting this Movember.
If you want to see a larger version of the infographic check out

Daily shape is (yet another) daily project by (yet another) designer Jac (jacinabox) and she has been creating random shapes every day for the past 3 months now. There are a few restrictions placed on this daily project, and they are…
- Only basic shapes and patterns.
- Must take less than 10 minutes to create.
- No frills, vectors, textures, gradients or other fancy business.
Matthew Olin is the creator behind this series of
Superhero Typographic Posters for his MFA Thesis Exhibition back in 2011. Here is what he had to say about this series.
"The most distinguishing factor of any font is its characters. Hidden beneath these characters, each typeface also has character—its own unique characteristics. However classified this information may seem, when used correctly, typefaces often speak to us more powerfully than the words that are written with them."
What I like most about these posters is the definition of the use of the font but it also goes along with each character that is being designed. I have only added a few see the rest here on
