I found this website Kharma yesterday from designer NoPattern on his twitter page. NoPattern was promoting this site because he is a part of what they're all about. What I found intriguing about the concept of this clothing retailer is that with each product that they make, and each piece that is purchased, it benefits a cause that's real and human. What this company does is find what inspires them. Kharma stated that they love uniqueness; they love people who are changing the world in unique ways. So they make pieces that will support them and help spread their message.

On the Kharma site it tells you who the designer is and what charity the shirt is representing. Theirs a limit of 150ct per shirt so they are limited. Once you click on a shirt that fits your fancy it will give you a description of the charity and what it's about and it even tells you what percentage of the sale goes to the designer. Kharma definitely has the right idea and a great concept going on. They have a collaborative, cause-driven, lifestyle brand aimed at colliding the worlds of consumption and good deeds per their site and I couldn't agree more. So start buying away and start sporting your style while supporting your cause.

In June of last year, I wrote a blog about "Useful Tools for Choosing Your Color Palette". One of the sites I wrote about was ColoRotate. Well I received an email from Michael Douma of ColoRotate who wanted me to know that they are now out of the beta testing phase and now have a working Photoshop CS4 Plugin.

Michael stated, my colleagues and I developed ColoRotate because, while color is inherently three-dimensional, all color pickers were flat. From the feedback we received during beta testing, it seems that those who engage in computer color selection and design also felt that vacuum. They found some features of ColoRotate especially appealing, such as gaining more control over foreground and background colors through fine-tuning with sliders, and easily creating meaningful palettes.

So when I was on my trip back home. I came across a program that would come in handy for me. Seeing how I'm always working on three computers and needing to transfer files. The more intuitive layout structure is designed, the better users can understand the content. Whatever content you have to present, you can present them in a more interactive & more responsive ways.

I would like to focus on sliding effects and how i can change the structure of a page in a truly unique and creative way. There are many transition effects that can be used to slide different contents, such as fading, horizontal sliding, vertical sliding, the list goes on. 2. Carousels & JCarousels
Over the last couple of years we have noticed a strong trend toward sliding horizontal panels or menus also known as Carousels. Creamy CSS uses a similar effect, once one of the navigation options at the left and right is clicked, a group of images in onetag slides Horizontally.

jCarousel is a jQuery plugin for controlling a list of items in horizontal or vertical order. The items, which can be static HTML content or loaded with (or without) AJAX, can be scrolled back and forth (with or without animation).

The big difference in this slider is that there are buttons to change panels and the panels zoom in and out when user click on the buttons at the left and right.

4. Sliding Boxes and Captions with jQuery
All of these sliding box animations work on the same basic idea. There is a div tag (.boxgrid in my css) that essentially acts as a window where two other items of your choosing “peek” through.

Set up the default starting point for the caption box. If you want it fully hidden initially, you will want the distance from the top or left to match the height or width of the window (.boxgrid), depending on which direction it will be sliding. You can also have it partially visible initially, as .caption .box caption illustrates.
