WVIL (Wireless Viewfinder Interchangeable Lens) camera is an amazing concept camera that was envisioned by Artefact design team. This camera features a detachable high quality lens that you can wirelessly control with a touchscreen. It takes the connectivity and applications of modern smart phones and connect them with interchangeable DSLR quality optics. This camera will allow users to experience photography with new choices in different angles. I would definitely get one of these especially because the user interface that was shown in the video below looks innovative. It also looks to have a clear and easy to use navigate system. Would you get one of these?

A company called Looxcie just came out with a new way of recording your memories. They have built this tiny camera that shoots HVGA footage any time it's on. Letting you record those memories that you wish you would have. This ear wearing camera not only lets you film but it also doubles as a Bluetooth headset which from what I hear you can still record while using it as a Bluetooth headset. It also lets you use your Android handset as a viewfinder and editor. It also gives you access to share these memories on the fly. This little ear wearing camera will run you about $200 bucks. So if your looking for a Bluetooth headset to also have the power to record then this Looxcie is for you.
When it comes to going to an event we sometimes are a little cautious on bringing our nice camera for fear of damage or it's just to big and bulky. Well Samsung has come up with the Samsung NX100. It's the latest addition to the NX series of mirrorless compact system cameras and it comes with some innovative new features.
It features a 14.6Mp sensor, a 3.0" AMOLED screen, an ISO range of 100 to 3200, 720p movie recording (H.264) and SD / SDHC card slot. Its new i-Function button on the lens that allows users to to cycle manual through settings like white-balance, ISO, shutter speed, aperture and exposure compensation. It is however lacking in the built-in flash department but it does have an option to add a hot shoe mounted flash gun. It also has a GPS unit and EVF that slots into the back of the camera. It was also advised that this camera will offer a wide variety of lenses to complete your NX100 series.
The NX100 price well that is (TBA) as well as the release date but I do know that it will include the 20-50mm lens and will be available in black, white and brown.
In the world of art and design a big demand and merge of sustainable design has come into play. Many artists are now being cautious on materials they use for environmental purposes. One of these eco-conscious artists is Kiel Johnson who is a famous American-based painter and sculptor. In one of his collections he uses cardboard to create a range of camera that includes SLRs, Polaroid cameras, point and shoot cameras, twin lens cameras and the retro 8mm camera. After viewing these piece of art I can see why Kiel has been recognized on a lot of his works which have been showcased in public and private collections. I can only image the detail and time it took for him to just create one of these cameras and the fact that he is being eco-conscious gives him two thumbs up. If you want to check out more photo's of the cameras check out his site.

It includes a 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen, a 12.2 megapixel Exmor R back-illuminated CMOS sensor, 10fps burst shooting, 1080i HD video recording, Optical SteadyShot image stabilization, and a Carl Zeiss 4x optical zoom lens. So we all remember the days of the Polaroid camera right? Well if your still a fan of the Polaroid then I have a camera to suit your vintage needs. The Polaroid SX-70 OneStep Land Camera ($210). This camera was developed in collaboration with the Impossible project and has a very limited amount of camera's manufactured. From what I have been reading it looks like on 50 units were made. They were hand-refurbished Land Cams that feature a white and black body with a seventies-licious rainbow running from the lens to the output slot. The camera also comes with two boxes of B&W/Sepia PX 100 film to get your started on taking some vintage Polaroid pictures.
In being that it's 2010 we have seen that phones are now becoming more like little desktops in our hands. We have also over the years gotten use to having a camera built in to our phones. But now with high tech phones you can do more than just take a picture. In having a phone with the rich software applications that run on devices like the iPhone and Android, you get lots of cool new ways to put your cameraphone to good use.
Cameraphones are becoming a form of digital photographic memory, in which you can take a picture of basically anything that interest you. Now, with the right apps, you can also use your phone to scan barcodes and store them, and even translate and recognize text. You can even map out the location that you took the picture at and share it with multitude of social networks.
Google Goggles is a brand new application for Android phones that lets you search the web with an image. You just point your phone at an artwork, a book, DVD, or CD cover, a landmark, or a logo, and Goggles will return search results for that item. You can even point your phone at someone's business card, and Goggles can automatically add that person's name, address, phone number, email address and web site to your address book. Eventually, Goggles will be able to translate written text as well. So you could point your phone at a sign or menu in another language and get back Google Translate's translation.
What I am liking about the new cellphones like the iPhone and the Andriod is the barcode scanner which can scan a barcode on any product and give you prices from all over the web as well as retail outlets near you. Google Shopper is a similar application on Android: point your cameraphone at either a barcode or a book, CD, or DVD cover, and Shopper will show you prices and review of that product from around the web instantly.
Then their is the square bar code called QR Codes, are becoming a popular way to transmit information like web links and phone numbers directly to a phone without any typing. If your local coffee shop has a barcode in the window, for example, you could scan it on your phone and can instantly find reviews and more information without tapping a key.
Their is also a application that works on the Android that lets you store images of membership cards or big box store club cards that you use over and over again. Instead of crowding your keyring with your grocery, pharmacy, and movie rental place club card, take pictures of each one and store them in an image file on your phone. Then you can just have them scan your phone and Bam! You just saved tons of space on your key chain

How would you like your camera to not only take great pictures but also be able to project them onto the wall. Two days ago Nikon has announced the S1000pj, and along with a nice, big 2.7” screen, a 12.1 megapixel sensor, there’s a VGA projector inside.
The camera looks to be a solid picture-taker, with a top ISO setting of 6400 (at three megapixels), a 5x zoom and both optical and electronic image stabilization, but the projector is the real story here, the first that we know of in a consumer camera. It’ll throw images of up to 40-inches onto a wall up to two meters away, and comes with a remote control and stand to help. Useful for impromptu slideshows, and quite excellent for playing back movies. Price range: $430
This weekend I got a chance to see a Nikon S60 camera while at a fashion show. I hadn't seen this camera before. The first eye catcher for me was the full on touch screen. Here some info on the Nikon S60. Tell me what you guys think. Do you know of any other really cool touch screen cameras? Leave a comment.
